Sen. Darline Graham Nordone (R-SC) indicated on Sunday night that she disagrees with President Donald Trump on a key issue as she runs to hold the seat once held by her late brother Lindsey Graham.
Graham Nordone began by insisting her “first priority” would be to “fight for South Carolina and… help President Trump achieve his agenda.”
However, unlike the president who makes a constant point of mocking “affordability,” claiming it is a word that was made up by Democrats, she sees it as her calling to help out struggling Americans.
“Lindsey was focused on national security, and I know that’s important, but I will probably be focused more on affordability and what matters to families in South Carolina, struggling families,” she told Gowdy.
“I know what it is to struggle, and living paycheck to paycheck,” she admitted while pointing to the rough childhood she and her brother endured after both of their parents died when she was just a child.
