Firefighters were called to the scene near Panfield Lane in Braintree at 3.55pm and confirmed a field fire was in progress near Church Hill Road. A spokesman for the fire service said: "Firefighters were called to Panfield Lane in Braintree on Sunday at 3.56pm. "On arrival crews confirmed it was a field on fire near Church Hill Road. "The fire was extinguished by 5.34pm." The cause of the fire is currently unknown.
