Ipswich Transport Museum in Cobham Road revived the town's beer festival and welcomed more than 800 thirsty drinkers over Friday, Saturday and Sunday. The festival featured 40 barrels of beer, including Ampersand brewery at Diss and Lowestoft's Green Jack brewery. Mr Phillips also thanked the publicans of the Dove pub in Ipswich, who provided equipment, including chillers, for the festival. "They were quite surprised by what we have got and how much we have got here in addition to the beer festival event," Mr Phillips added. The museum has more than 100 transport or engineering objects made or used in the Ipswich area, including buses, lorries, bikes and carriages.
