By now you've heard about the laughable trade package the Los Angeles Dodgers gave up to acquire Tarik Skubal. The fact that the New York Yankees couldn't put forth an offer more substantial to load up and maximize their waning Aaron Judge window is upsetting. The most upsetting factor of all is what this might mean for the rest of the trade market. Aside from Skubal, he was the most impactful player expected to hit the market and the best fit for New York's needs. If the market truly dries up in this fashion, the Yankees will have no one to blame but themselves.
