Thames Valley Police said their neighbourhood policing team in the town "have been out in force", carrying out patrols in areas identified as potential hotspots and seizing any illegal e-bikes and scooters. "We have been busy in the town centre itself ensuring that it is a safe and enjoyable place to visit," Thames Valley Police said. Police said the High Street was a "very welcoming environment" when officers were out and about on Sunday, August 2. "We spoke to many happy residents and visitors to the town." Thames Valley Police reminded residents that antisocial behaviour "comes in many forms", and encouraged anyone with concerns to contact them.
