Legislative text from Republicans for Farm Bill 2.0, the Agricultural Act of 2026, was released late Friday evening, after normal business hours. “Farm Bill 2.0 is built for the people who feed America,” said Boozman, who serves as chairman of the U.S. Senate Committee on Agriculture, Nutrition, and Forestry. The committee says that bill is built for farmers, for rural communities, and for the future of agriculture. Streamlines and strengthens conservation programs while creating two new broadly popular initiatives: the Forest ConservationEasement Program and the State Conservation Assistance Program. “No one should support a farm bill that fails to support family farmers, feed hungry children, support farmers adopting regenerative practices, or build healthy diets,” said EWG’s senior vice president of government affairs, Scott Faber.
