The agency reviews and adjusts seasons, bag limits and land management rules, as needed, annually to comply with changes in the law, achieve conservation management goals, and respond to constituent requests and suggestions. The proposed changes are broken down by category, including wildlife management, inland fisheries, land and water access, wildlife education (shooting ranges), and endangered, threatened, and special concern species. The commission has also scheduled virtual public hearings on the proposed changes. The proposed changes will be discussed and considered at the Wildlife Resource Commission Commissioners’ October meeting.
