A house sustained extensive damage in an early morning fire Saturday in Leonardville, according to Riley County Fire District No. Firefighters were dispatched around 1 a.m. to the 300 block of East Chase Street after receiving a report of a residential structure fire. Crews remained at the scene until about 4:15 a.m. conducting overhaul operations after part of the roof collapsed. The home sustained extensive damage.
