The Vatican official said he was encouraged by the younger generation of Religious formators and leaders entering formation and ministry with what he described as “a different intuition,” one that embraces safeguarding not as something imposed from outside but as integral to their vocation.
At the same time, he cautioned that the Church still has “far to travel” in confronting harm within its own communities.
The Vatican official underscored the need to form leaders capable of recognizing and responding to trauma with competence and compassion.
