Environmental concerns have been raised over plans to increase trout production at a fish farm on Loch Tay. However, the plans have been opposed by the Loch Tay Association (LTA), which represents business owners and residents. The LTA has also highlighted alleged incidents of farmed fish escaping from the Loch Tay fish farm. The firm describes itself as the only “family-owned” trout farm in Scotland and produces around 70% of trout sold in the UK. “Our commitment remains unchanged: protecting Loch Tay, producing healthy Scottish trout, supporting rural employment and farming responsibly for future generations.”
