David Kidd of Parkdean Resorts has proposed upgrades at Thorness Bay Holiday Park near Porchfield, against a backdrop of ‘continued demand’ for high-quality UK based visitor accommodation with on-site amenities. Submitted plans also include a hat-tricks building and associated canopy, adventure course, escape room tents, bounce park and activity tent. A&M Architectural Partnership LLP said: “Parkdean Resorts UK propose to provide enhanced leisure and activity facilities within an established holiday park that would satisfy the aims of council and national policies and meets the future needs of visitors to the holiday park. “It is evident that the proposals will not cause any detrimental visual impact to the surrounding areas or to the visual appearance of the countryside. “The proposed leisure facilities will be located close to the existing main complex building, within controlled areas and will therefore be both easily managed by the holiday park and easily accessible by guests.”
