Muffin has since been taken for assessment with an experienced animal welfare volunteer and will go to the vets for a check up and treatment with the agreement of Muffin's owners. The efforts to find Muffin lasted seven weeks after he was last seen on the morning of Thursday, June 11. The miniature dachshund was last spotted in the Gatcombe and Chillerton area before he was found.
