Objections build over ‘monstrosity’ housing estate plans that would ‘ruin’ village

Last month, Peel Land confirmed that it had applied to Warrington Borough Council for permission to build a large housing estate on land in Croft.
The site at Turret Hall Farm is one of three that the developer has applied to build on, with others located in Hollins Green and Lymm.
Last week, more than 150 residents staged a peaceful protest in Croft against the plans, holding signs including ‘save Croft village’ and ‘hands off our green belt’.
“The land is beautiful, useful green belt land, and there is an abundance of wildlife that is going to be destroyed.
