Traffic is reportedly 'slow' this morning, Monday, eastbound between junction 14, Chester Services and junction 12, Runcorn. This follows reports that the carriageway is 'partially blocked' due to a crash involving two vehicles. This is between junction 10 at the A49 Tarporley Road (Stretton) and junction 14 A5117 (Chester Services / Helsby). A Spokesperson for Cheshire Police said: "At 10.43am today police were called to a collision involving a van and a car on the M56 eastbound between junctions 14 and 12. "There were no reports of any injuries and by 11.37am the vehicles were clear of the carriageway."
