Middleholm Island, off the Pembrokeshire coast, is now under the care of the Wildlife Trust of South and West Wales (WTSWW) following a new 20-year lease agreement with National Trust Cymru. The island forms part of the Skomer, Skokholm and the Seas off Pembrokeshire Special Protection Area. Conservationists say managing Middleholm is critical because it acts as a 'stepping stone' to Skomer Island. "This partnership builds on many years of successful collaboration between National Trust Cymru and The Wildlife Trust of South and West Wales, helping to ensure the island and its wildlife remain protected for future generations." However, it can be viewed from the Marloes Peninsula or during boat crossings to Skomer Island.
