Driver told to 'expect delays' due to fire on major motorway

The incident, which took place this afternoon (Monday, August 3), led to the M5 southbound between Junction 3 (Halesowen) and Junction 4 (Bromsgrove) being closed.
According to National Highways: West Midlands, the motorway was fully reopened at around 2.36pmHereford and Worcester Fire and Rescue Service were at the scene of the fire.
A Hereford and Worcester Fire and Rescue Service spokesperson said: "We were called out at 12:40 to a fire near Bromsgrove.
"We currently have three appliances out on scene."
Drivers have been warned to expect residual delays of up to 15 minutes, and one mile of congestion on the approach.
