How the Hong Kong teen behind the Dirtyfinger brand is turning trash into eco-fashion
['Andrew Sun']

That is why I call my brand Dirtyfinger,” says the Hong Kong-born German-Chinese wunderkind.
The 18-year-old happily rolls up her sleeves for activities such as sorting through rubbish in search of material for an art installation or hand-mending repurposed fabric for one-of-a-kind fashion pieces.
Sustainability and environmentalism are not just slogans; they are the core ethos of her art and fashion design.
“The whole thing with sustainability started when I moved to Bali in 2021,” Doeringer recalls.
Later, several pieces were sold at auction, with the proceeds going towards combating the local waste crisis.
