Northumbria Police confirmed that the body of 19-year-old Michael Henry was recovered during searches off the coast of Blyth on Sunday, July 26. His kayak capsized near Boulmer in Northumberland and a second man on board managed to swim to a buoy before being rescued. A spokesperson for Northumbria Police said: "We can confirm a body has sadly been found in the search for Michael Henry. "Following extensive searches, Michael was located in the water off the coast of Blyth on July 26. "Michael was preparing to go travelling this summer and hoping to start university next academic year," they said.
