Neil Gandecha, owner of Foxholes Care Home in Hitchin, has warned that bereavement can lead to growing isolation and a reluctance to discuss changing health and care needs. Mr Gandecha said: "Many of the men we meet have spent decades sharing their lives with a partner. To address the issue, Foxholes Care Home introduced a Gentlemen's Club to help male residents connect and support one another. The club meets weekly and provides a space for men to share meals, discuss personal experiences, and build friendships. "Whether it's discussing bereavement, health concerns, family life or simply sharing memories and experiences, having that support network can make a huge difference."
