TEHRAN, Iran: Iran executed two men convicted of spying for Israel on Monday, August 3, 2026.
Okay News reports that the Iranian Judiciary announced the hangings through its media outlet, Mizan.
The media outlet did not specify the arrest or trial dates but stated the men were convicted of “espionage and collaboration with the Zionist regime”.
Executions in Iran have risen since the conflict with Israel and the United States began on February 28, 2026, following military strikes that killed the Iranian supreme leader.
On Tuesday, Amnesty International denounced the escalation in executions after Iran announced the hanging of two other men found guilty of taking part in anti-government protests during the winter.
