Cllr Jamie Scott and his wife, Wendy, attended Read Easy Winchester's annual celebration evening at St Peter's Church. Read Easy reader Barry Tudgay, with his certificate of achievement, with Cllr Jamie Scott and Barry's reading coach Terry Baulk. Cllr Scott also recalled his first encounter with Read Easy over a decade ago, highlighting his role in helping the group gain support from Winchester City Council. Read Easy patron Claire Fuller, founder members Alan and Pat Stephens, Cllr Jamie Scott and current Read Easy Winchester leader David Richardson. He said: "This has been a wonderful evening to celebrate the hard work and dedication of all our readers and volunteers as Read Easy strives to improve literacy for adults in the Winchester area."
