Srinagar , 3 August : A woman died after a cloudburst triggered a flash flood in Himli area of Lolab in north Kashmir’s Kupwara district on Monday, police said. Police said her body was recovered following a search operation after the cloudburst caused a sudden surge of water in the area. In south Kashmir, another cloudburst struck Batkoot area of Pahalgam in Anantnag district, triggering flash floods and creating panic among locals and tourists. Officials said the Aishmuqam–Pahalgam road has been blocked at Langnai Bridge due to flooding. In addition, the bridge at Langnai Batkoot has suffered damage because of the strong water current.
