Road safety is not merely about traffic rules, speed limits, or signboards on a roadside. In Kashmir, as in many other places, road safety has to be understood in the context of local realities. Schools should include road safety awareness as part of basic civic education. If road safety is to improve, we must begin by respecting life in its most ordinary movement on the road. Driving sense is nothing less than daily discipline, civic decency, and human empathy put into action.
