The Los Angeles Sparks traded Kelsey Plum to the Phoenix Mercury on Saturday for Monique Akoa Makani, a 2027 first-round pick and a 2028 second-rounder, ending her two-season stay in the City of Angels. Plum, 31, spent the majority of her career with the Las Vegas Aces before being traded to the Sparks ahead of the 2025 season. In 55 total games for L.A. she averaged 20.5 points and 5.9 assists per game, shooting 36.1 percent from three while earning her fourth and fifth career All-Star nods.
