Five people and a dog were rescued after a structure fire broke out in Marsaskala yesterday evening, prompting a major response from Civil Protection Department firefighters. Firefighters from Fire Station 4 arrived to find the building filled with heavy smoke and immediately launched a rescue operation. As a precaution, crews used a Turntable Ladder to safely evacuate the five trapped individuals and one dog from the building. The fire was successfully brought under control before firefighters carried out ventilation procedures to clear the remaining smoke and ensure the building was safe.
