The case was based on allegations made by women wrestlers against Singh during his tenure as WFI chief.
New Delhi: A Delhi court on Monday acquitted former Wrestling Federation of India (WFI) chief Brij Bhushan Sharan Singh and co-accused Vinod Tomar in the sexual harassment case filed by women wrestlers.
Additional Chief Judicial Magistrate Ashwini Panwar cleared Singh, a former BJP MP, and Tomar, who served as WFI assistant secretary, of the charges in the case.
The court had reserved its order on July 2 after the conclusion of final arguments in the case, which was filed by six women wrestlers.
In May 2024, the court had ordered charges to be framed against Singh for alleged criminal intimidation.
