A man found slumped over the steering wheel in a vehicle stopped in the middle of a road in Surrey has been arrested. Houghton said that when police arrived, the first thing they did was use their vehicles to box in the car. "Officers were concerned the driver needed medical attention and as officers tried to take him into custody, the man regained consciousness and tried to start the vehicle and drive away, which was prevented by the police cars." Houghton said the man was taken into custody and an unloaded firearm, along with ammunition and three knives, were seized. The man remains in custody pending charges.
