JD Sports Fashion Plc launched the second £100 million tranche of its £200 million share buyback program, aiming to return capital and reduce share capital. The entire program runs through the 2026/27 financial year, with the second phase expected to finish by January 31, 2027. JD Sports has entered into an irrevocable agreement with UK inveestment bank Peel Hunt LLP to independently execute purchases on its behalf. The progression of this capital return program occurs alongside significant boardroom changes. JD Sports Fashion shares are up about 15 percent this year, trading at around £90.78 on the London Stock Exchange.
