A further 6,125 roles will be created across other support services needed to keep health facilities running and help patients receive care more smoothly.
The new roles, as stated by the Public Service Division (JPA), will support the opening and expansion of 256 health facilities nationwide.
They are newly created positions, rather than replacements for existing vacancies, and carry an estimated annual cost of RM1.25bn.

The latest approval is intended to give the health system more capacity as new facilities come online and communities require more accessible services.
