The road has been closed near the British Camp car park in Malvern for almost 11 months for repairs to a collapsed retaining wall. In July, Worcestershire County Council said ground investigation work into the landslip was expected to be completed by the end of the month. According to One Network, the online roadworks map used by Worcestershire County Council, the A449 is scheduled to remain closed until September 30. A spokesperson for Worcestershire County Council, said: "Most of the detailed ground investigation work on site has now been completed. The road is within Herefordshire Council's area, and the authority has previously said that it plans to resurface the road, but not before the A449 reopens.
