Police were contacted at around 8.10pm on Friday, July 31, following reports that a man, who was barred, had been harassing people at a pub in Liscard and been asked to leave. Staff at the pub reported to police that the man had left and then returned and punched another man outside. Offices attended and searched the area and located the man outside The Boot Public House. He was arrested on suspicion of common assault and using threatening/abusive/insulting words or behaviour and has been bailed pending further enquiries. Merseyside Police has stressed that The Boot Pub was not involved in the reported fight, adding that it was just where the man was arrested the premises.
