Vance Boelter did not enter a plea during his first appearance on state charges for the shootings of two Minnesota lawmakers and their spouses. Boelter spoke in court to ask several questions of the judge, including a request to speak with religious leaders. The next hearing in the case is scheduled for Sept. 2.
