In an editorial, Hudson County Prosecutor Wayne Mello commends law enforcement for their efforts at MetLife Stadium during the 2026 FIFA World Cup, as well as during the 4th of July. These events were able to be enjoyed by our families and friends due to the incredible efforts of law enforcement. Our law enforcement officers did so without fanfare while still meeting their critical day-to-day duties. A summer filled with activities of this scope demonstrated that our region is home to some of the finest law enforcement officers in the nation. As our law enforcement officers prepare to answer another call for service, I say thank you.
