iStockphotoA former Comcast employee in Connecticut claims that a store manager forced employees to be tied to a chair and hit in the face with pies for not meeting sales goals.
David Figueroa of Meriden filed the complaint on July 9 in Connecticut Superior Court against Comcast Cable Communications Management LLC, operating under the name Comcast/Xfinity.
He claims the store manager directed other staff members to take part in and document the punishments on video, which resulted in bodily harm, humiliation, and disgrace for individuals targeted.
“Plaintiff was repeatedly exposed to a violent and hostile work environment,” the lawsuit added.
A Comcast spokesperson told WFSB News, “The Company has zero tolerance for harassment, humiliation, or any behavior that compromises a respectful and safe workplace.
