The Gateshead Group, an independent social care company, has proposed registering 24 Bek Close in Eaton as a children’s home. The facility would care for children aged eight to 17 years old with learning disability and emotional behavioural difficulties who need residential care. If approved, it would operate alongside an existing children’s home at 23 Bek Close, which has been running for nearly a year. Another added: "This area mainly has older residents and is most unsuitable for a children's home where they need management for their care." Norwich City Council will now consider the proposal for 24 Bek Close.
