The incident happened on the A140 in Wacton at around 6pm on July 30 and involved a turquoise Renault HGV and a blue SYM Orbit moped. The road was closed while emergency services, including an air ambulance, responded and reopened at around 2.40am the following day. The moped rider, a teenage boy, sustained serious injuries and was airlifted to Addenbrooke's Hospital, where he remains in a serious condition. Laflin has been charged with causing serious injury by dangerous driving, dangerous driving and failing to stop after a road accident. Police are now appealing for witnesses or anyone with dashcam footage to contact them quoting the reference NC-30072026-331.
