The accused, Aditya Singh alias Raju, is a resident of Belilious Road in Howrah and a second-year B.Com student of Umesh Chandra College in Kolkata. The youth was detained on Sunday by the STF officers for questioning and was booked in the case early on Monday. Aditya was remanded in police custody by Burdwan Court following his production before a judge in the afternoon. The STF is now probing whether Aditya acted as the informer for own interest or was asked by Hamim to play the role. Meanwhile, the National Investigation Agency officers interrogated Hamim and Arpita, now in police custody, at the STF office in Kolkata.
