ROCHESTER, N.Y. — Rochester Police are investigating after gunfire hit two homes in different parts of the city on Sunday evening. Police say several bullets hit a home on Sawyer Street off Genesee Street on the city’s southwest side just before 7:20 p.m. Officers found evidence of gunfire in the road. About half an hour later, officers also responded to bullets hitting a home on Weaver Street off Joseph Avenue on the city’s northeast side. Police determined that a person riding a red scooter-type vehicle fired the shots before taking off on the scooter. No one was hurt in either case, and RPD has not made any arrests.
