A planning application for the 'replacement of steel profiled roof with Britmec Pantile 2000 system' at the Maryport C Of E Junior School on Camp Road, Maryport last month. A design and access statement supporting the plans said that the 'steel sheet roof has now rusted and is in need of complete replacement'. The documents added that is to be no impact due to this proposal other than the visual appearance of the school. Officers said that one representation had been received in support of the proposal from Councillor Carni McCarron Holmes. The plans were approved for the application, subject to conditions on July, 17.
