But it's a mistake to assign all the model cost innovation to Chinese models, and then downplay that by citing geopolitical risks.
Model cost innovations will emerge from North America too - for just one example, see AWS in the next section.
I will quibble, however, with one of Kolsky's assertions: that due to LLMs, expertise is now a commodity.
