KABUL (Pajhwok): The Turkmen government has reviewed progress on the TAPI gas pipeline project and stressed the need to accelerate its implementation. The meeting reviewed the performance of Turkmenistan’s oil and gas sector during the first seven months of 2026. Officials from Turkmenneft, Turkmengaz, Turkmengeology, the TAPI Pipeline Company and several affiliated institutions presented their reports. The TAPI project is one of the region’s largest gas transmission projects. It is designed to transport Turkmenistan’s natural gas through Afghanistan to Pakistan and India.
