The incident took place yesterday afternoon on the Padiham Bypass (Barrowford Road) in Lancashire, prompting a large emergency response and significant congestion on surrounding routes. Lancashire Police said the crash involved a van and a car and was reported at 4.49pm. A spokesperson for Lancashire Police said: "A 32-year-old man was arrested on suspicion of driving with excess drugs and possession of drugs with intent to supply. Fire crews from Padiham and Nelson attended the scene and provided assistance. A spokesman for Lancashire Fire and Rescue Service said: "At 4.51pm on Sunday (August 2), two fire engines from Padiham and Nelson attended a road traffic collision on Barrowford Road, Padiham.
