Driver disqualified and fined after being more than double drink-drive limit

Keith Rickwood, 48, of Colvin Way, appeared at Blackburn Magistrates' Court on Monday (July 27) over one charge of drink-driving.
The charge states that Rickwood was driving in Churchill Way, Nelson, on June 17 with 84 microgrammes of alcohol per 100ml of breath in his system - the legal limit is 35 microgrammes.
Rickwood was banned from driving for 20 months, which can be reduced if he completes a course.
He was also fined £177 and ordered to pay a £71 surcharge and £85 in costs.
