Fire crews were called to Fen Lane in North Ockendon at 11.27am and remain at the scene. Around 60 firefighters and eight fire engines have been deployed to tackle the blaze. Wildfire beaters as well as backpack blowers also being used to extinguish the flames. A spokesman for London Fire Brigade said: "Crews are using backpack blowers, which work just like leaf blowers. Firefighters from Hornchurch, Harold Hill, Dagenham and neighbouring stations are in attendance, along with Essex Fire and Rescue Service.
