The incident occurred on the M25 anticlockwise at junction 2, near the A2 Darenth Interchange, with congestion extending back from the Dartford Crossing to the Bean Interchange. One of two lanes on the A2 flyover remains closed as a result of the fire. A spokesperson for Kent Fire and Rescue Service said: "Kent Fire and Rescue Service was called to reports of a caravan alight on the A2 coastbound, just before the M25 near the Dartford Crossing. Motorists are experiencing severe delays of 22 minutes, with traffic moving at an average speed of just 10mph between junction 3 (M20 Swanley Interchange) and the Dartford Crossing. Drivers are being urged to allow extra travel time due to ongoing disruption in the area.
