WestJet and CUPE reach tentative agreement, ending job action, flight disruptions

The agreement will be presented to CUPE members for ratification, allowing flight attendants to return to work as both strike and lockout notices are withdrawn.
Flight attendants had walked off the job on Sunday, prompting WestJet to cancel all flights during a busy travel weekend.
WestJet and the union representing some 4,400 flight attendants reached a tentative deal Monday to resume work after a brief work stoppage, but neither side is sharing specifics yet.
