Originally released in 2013, beloved indie title Project Zomboid is still in Early Access, but, unlike countless other games stuck in EA, this one is still receiving updates from its developer. Because of this continual work on the game, Project Zomboid just beat its own record for concurrent players. As reported on by the likes of third party tracking platform SteamDB, the game had a peak of 121 603 players. Developer and publisher The Indie Stone released Build 42.20.0 Stable right at the end of July. It’s quite expansive and we can see why so many players are either jumping back in or trying Project Zomboid for the first time.
