South Africans still confident AI won’t replace them at work

It was one of several questions we asked in last year’s inaugural State of Work Survey.
Here, it would appear that a large portion of South African workers are confident that AI will not replace, regardless of how sophisticated it becomes.
To that end, a surprising 36.5 percent of respondents noted that AI would not replace them.
As such, the sentiment around AI in terms of its capacity to replace jobs in South Africa is still quite low.
It therefore looks like when it comes to embracing AI, employers need to do it themselves.
