Darren, 55, and Stephen, 61, moved into their house in Springfield Avenue, Bury St Edmunds, with their parents in 1970.
But three years after their mother died, they are facing eviction by Thursday, August 13.
This is due to succession rights for council and housing association tenancies, which only apply once and were activated when their father died in 2017 of cancer.
The have lived at the property for 55 years.
