The Suffolk service has had to bring in firefighters from 13 other counties to cope with demand.
The provision of firefighting aircraft and helicopters would also be welcome as the National Trust, which runs Dunwich Heath, had to bring in a helicopter to drop water on the Dunwich wildfire.
Richard Beeby has written to prime minister Andy Burnham calling for more firefighting resources for Suffolk (Image: Web)"My members are absolutely exhausted now.
"We are in day five of the fires and many of my members' crews have been there four, five, maybe even six times now.
"We unfortunately don't have the resources in Suffolk, which is exacerbating the situation for us," Mr Beeby added.
